Discover the magic of live sand animation — a unique visual art form where stories are created from sand, light, movement and music.

On stage, the artist creates every image by hand on an illuminated glass table, while the process is projected onto a large screen. The audience doesn't only see the final image — they watch the story unfold as one scene continuously transforms into the next.

A few movements of the hands can turn a portrait into a city, a city into a landscape, and a landscape into an entirely new world.

Everything is performed live, following an original artistic concept and carefully created scenario, synchronized with music.

The result feels somewhere between visual art, theatre and cinema — except the images are being created from sand right in front of you.

MEET ODALI

ODALI is a European sand animation artist and director with more than a decade of professional experience.

Her sand performances have been presented throughout Europe and, in recent years, in the United States — at concerts, festivals, television projects, cultural programs and private events.

With a professional background in directing and acting, ODALI approaches sand animation as visual storytelling. Every production combines dramaturgy, music, movement and transforming sand images to create a complete emotional story.

Her experience includes more than 100 concerts and 300 live performances, created for audiences of different ages and cultures.

Around the World in 12 Sand Paintings is a new original sand animation production inspired by travel, discovery and the people and moments that can change us along the way.

Through twelve transforming sand scenes, one journey crosses countries and cultures — while gradually becoming a journey of personal discovery.

And that's all we're going to tell you.
